In the movie "Manji" is a good illustration

of the basic japanese principle

"the less shown, the more erotic"

Shame comes from the eyes of the "other"

without the "other" there is no shame.

In these years, lesbianism (here on a soft mode)

was an anti-social act,

but very present in the local fantasies.

I am not sure that it really changed.
