of a traditional japanese house:
1/ The tatamis
2/ The gliders for the shôji (paper windows)
3/ The pillar (hashira) at the angle of the gliders
4/ The external wooden rôka
5/ The housewife (Okusan, Kanai, Omae
Baita, Omanko, etc... depending on
who talk to who)

Some questions:
Can you explain the meaning and social content for the woman?
Are there other words for them?
I like the pillar with the open windows. Good tool for humiliation.
Okusan means your wife (normal) or Okusama (respectful) The word in itself means the person who is in the deep (harem japanese style)
Kanai means my wife (normal), it means in itself "in the house"
Omae, disrespectful for the woman; used also toward men in subordinate position. From a top to a sub. meaning: you (despising) in front of me.
Baita means whore (see also baishunfu,Jorosan or Ojorosan)
Omanko: you vagina
Some other word more respectful or in classic literature: Okamisan or Okamisama; nyôbô etc.
